Geotechnical Engineering

Where required, and to minimise costs, the geotechnical investigation is conducted concurrently with the geo-environmental investigation.

Unless a separate report is required, we will provide indicative foundation design parameters within our interpretive report.

Field Testing

We are able to undertake a variety of field tests, generally UKAS accredited and in accordance with BS1377:1990. These include;

• In-situ plate bearing tests;
• In-situ CBR testing;
• In-situ density testing (sand replacement, water replacement, core cutter) 

Soakage Testing

Infiltration tests are conducted in accordance with BRE Digest 365 to provide parameters for soakage design.
